    Thankfully, Jillie understood and she and I became social media friends. Recently, I saw her post that "Hungry" was going to become available VOD. So I reached out to say let's try this again!  I'm very happy to have finally watched the film which stars Jillie as a quirky, soft spoken elementary school teacher, whose lunch gets stolen by one of her students - unexpectedly sending her down a path of activism.

    I got a chance to screen The Illadelphia Glow (short film). First off, I really appreciate anytime black sci-fi is on the table. Although, this film doesn’t play out with a comicbook or supernatural tone. It’s grounded in reality. It just so happens the lead character, high school teacher Winston Ligon (Aundre Dean) has a special talent, where it’s not so much that he doesn’t know how to control it, but rather he doesn’t know what to do with it.     Synopsis: On the hottest day of the year, an unknown virus spreads throughout inner-city Philadelphia. The infected victims, crazed by dehydration, begin attacking other residents of the neighborhood in gruesome ways.
