My screening of This Means War was courtesy of and reviewed for Cinedelphia Take a little True Lies, mix in a dash of Mr. & Mrs Smith, add a touch of Ocean’s Eleven and then half-bake and you’ve got a mildly entertaining, McG romantic, spy comedy. I wanted the movie “Australia” to do well in the box office for two reasons: I love big, sweeping, epic love stories and Baz Lurhman is really adorably sexy! However, it doesn’t appear as if his 100 million dollar dream come true is box office gold. There’s been very little buzz during or since Thanksgiving. I saw it in a nearly empty theater, normally at Christmastime all movie showings are relatively full. It’s been more than 10 years since “Titanic”, I would think audiences would be hungry for a film of this romantic scope and feel.
