PFS Film and Food in Olde City
I was already excited about blogging for Philadelphia Film Society, but now they’ve made it twice as nice by adding a Film [Tinsel] and Food [Tine] membership benefit.
Members of PFS not only have access to Sneak Preview Screenings, but now also receive 10% discount at Old City Asian Bistro (located at 2nd and Market) before or after a preview screening.
PFS hopes that members will treat Old City Asian Bistro as a post-screening gathering space for other Film Society members to meet and discuss the film they’ve just seen, all while enjoying great food in a comfortable setting. OCAB is a BYO establishment, and have graciously invited PFS members to bring their wine or beer to the restaurant before a screening in order to be chilled for your post-film enjoyment!
Normally I go to Pagoda Noodle Cafe (125 Sansom Walkway) after a film, and it’s always excellent – food, service, quiet ambiance. So I’m looking forward to seeing if OCAB can be equally or more pleasing.
The next PFS Member Sneak Preview will be Thursday, June 3rd 7:30pm Ritz Bourse – Solitary Man featuring Michael Douglas. Story of a man clinging to youth and gambling with the success of his business and family life. (see below Trailer)

Also check out Celebrity-Gossip.net for a recap and great pics of Michael Douglas being honored at the 37th Annual Chaplin Award on May 25th.
Now I’ve got to go get ready for tonight’s screening of The Last Waltz outdoor screening held Piazza at Schmidts – Stay tuned for commentary!
