Dinner and a Movie: PITCH PERFECT 2 REVIEW AT BAHAMA BREEZE

Pitch Perfect 2 Video Review at Bahama Breeze in

King of Prussia, PA

By Tinsel & Tine Editor – Le Anne Lindsay and new Contributor – Kem Odike of KemKlicks.com

Tinsel & Tine is about the joy of movies and eating. The blog’s original concept was – go to a movie, go to a restaurant – review both. (dinner and a movie), over the years, T&T’s become separate movie highlights, foodie profiles, and Philly event recaps, which is great, but it’s nice to get back to the simpatico of food and film together!

Check out the below video which features Kem and I discussing the summer sequel to Pitch Perfect Pitch Perfect 2 over dinner at Bahama Breeze Island Grille adjacent to the United Artist Stadium 16 in King of Prussia.

T&T Pitch Perfect Synopsis:
We rejoin the Barden Bellas 3 years later and they’ve won 3 Championships under Beca’s (Anna Kendricks) leadership. They have a Barden Bellas bus, and their own sorority house, I don’t think they had either of those things in the first movie. The former leader, Aubrey (Anna Camp) has graduated. I won’t give away what she’s doing now. Chloe (Brittany Snow) is in her 7th year of college, just so she can remain a Bella. Everyone else returns, Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Sexy Stacie (Alexis Knapp), super strange Lilly (Hana Mae Lee), lesbian Cynthia Rose (Ester Dean), they’ve added a Latino girl, Flo (Chrissie Fit) who shticks it is to compare the Bellas 1st World a capella dramas to the 3rd world dangers that she’s grown up with.  Emily (Hailee Steinfeld True Grit)  comes into the group as a legacy member, because her mom (Katey Sagal) was a Bella in the 80’s.

During the opening scene there’s a terrible mishap while they’re performing for President Obama’s birthday at the Kennedy Center, the ramifications are such that the Bellas are banned from further competition, accept for Worlds, held in Copenhagen, which doesn’t fall under collegiate competition.  The Bellas need this win to restore their reputation. Only World’s is never won by an American a Capella group, and they have major competition, the big, sexy German group Das Sound Machine.

I was comparing “Pitch Perfect 2” to other sequels where the same cast comes back together, like American Pie or Sex and the City, those franchises had a lot of pressure to live up to, I think PP2 arrives with less expectation, a bigger budget and benefits under the direction of Elizabeth Banks who also plays ubiquitous a Capella co-commentator Gail.

T &T’s LAMB Score: 3.5 outta 5

I’d like to thank my friend Kem Odike, President of KemKlicks Affiliate Marketing Management for participating in our first joint dinner and a movie post.  This was a test run, we’d like to get a videographer and editor and work with the restaurants in the future.  Thank you Allison Ray for being our on the fly videographer. Sorry, I couldn’t use the interior shots, but it’s not your fault that dark skin and dark restaurant = bad video.

Please note: I have been invited as a blogger by Bahama Breeze in the past to dine and highlight new menu items (gratis). click for postsRUMTOMBERFEST / Back to Bahama Breeze: New Rice Bowls! / Legendary Island Cocktails. However, the above video is my own blog post. I was NOT in anyway invited, paid or in contact with Bahama Breeze, its Corporate Offices or PR Agency prior to shooting the video. It is NOT part of my Affiliate Marketing program. Bahama Breeze has NO connection with “Pitch Perfect 2”. The movie theater, United Artist, King of Prussia, where we saw PP2 is in the same shopping center as the restaurant, and the reason we choose to feature it as part of the post.
