Food in Film: CHEF
Jon Favreau's (writer, director, lead) succulent new film Chef this one's on my front burner. I've gotten a chance to see it twice already! What's great is, the second screening proved to me I really do love the film on its own merit, and not because it's a foodie movie, or because I took a day off from work to see the first screening, or because it features Food Trucks and Social Media, two things I'm in to. Art, History, Race, Romance, Politics: BELLE

Blog Contributor Monique: LOCKE (Tom Hardy
by Monique Steans I was really glad to get the assignment to see LOCKE, as it had been on my Indie film radar for sometime. I couldn’t help but feel an emotional connection to everything his character went through – from getting fired, to cheating on his wife, resulting in another woman having his baby; and…

Trifecta: THE OTHER WOMAN
Can I tell you the movie is more than what you see in the trailers? No, not really, it's a pretty predictable ride, but it's a good ride all the same. I am glad that the writer, Melissa K. Stack, does not have the two women bond too quickly.

Blog Contributor: BRICK MANSIONS
by Monique Steans, Contributor Brick Mansions (Director Camille Delamarre screenwriter Luc Besson); is action-packed from the start! Parkour, guns, & car chases, with a little laugh here and there. These things kept my blood pumping throughout the film. The plot keeps you wondering if the characters we’re supposed to trust, really have our interest at heart, so much so, that oddly enough, you end up rooting for people you don’t expect… The late PAUL WALKER plays a cop trying to do the right thing, and avenge his father’s (also a police detective) death. – Paul will truly be missed. This was an intense and arresting performance. Attesting to the fact…
