Man into Woman: THE DANISH GIRL
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor First off, the Parisian fashions of the late 1920’s would be enough to make any male with the least amount of femininity want to at least dress in drag. THE DANISH GIRL costumes for both Gerda (Alicia Vikander) & Lili (Eddie Redmayne) just make you wanna cry with the desire to wear and own them. Kudos to the costume designer Paco Delgado. Of course there’s a big difference between someone born male who dresses in drag or cross dress and one that identifies as a woman – transgender. But it’s all very confusing for us cisgenders (those good with the sex you were born into),…

Did They Have to Eat The Black Guy?: IN THE HEART OF THE SEA
Moby Dick Inspired Survivalist Tale with Director Ron Howard Live Twitter Interview Embeds By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay “Thar she blows” now has a more visual meaning for me after seeing Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment’s IN THE HEART OF THE SEA. The movie is based not on Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick” as much as it’s based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s, non fiction book of the same name. Food and Film: STUDIO MOVIE GRILL Review / Quick The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Review
A Quick "The Hunger Games" Bottom Line: Kinda glad to be done with this franchise, if it wasn't for Jennifer Lawrence they would have lost me after the 2nd one. I've never been invested in her choice of Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) or Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) has been dying inside, spitting up blood since before the games begun, so really all they needed to do was wait out the inevitable and then more easily stage a coup...

Where Does BURNT Fall Among Foodie Films?
FOOD IN FILM: BURNT By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay As you know, T&T is normally about film and food separately, but we always look forward to featuring foodie films or films with food like BURNT and we had a great lead in, as prior to the screening, T&T contributor Diane Roka and I attended the opening of a new upscale Mexican restaurant in Ardmore called Besito (to be posted soon), putting us in a very culinary mood. Bradley Cooper has more than charisma, he has an over abundance of Chi, which radiates out from him; so for me, this role as temperamental and damaged chef Adam…

A Revlock Review: ROOM
One cannot fault a sensitive, horror-averse moviegoer for balking at the premise of ROOM. On paper, the film reads as a realist revitalization of torture-porn tropes: Joy (Brie Larson) is kidnapped at nineteen by a bearded creep whom she refers to as Old Nick (Sean Bridgers), he imprisons her in a fortified garden shed and rapes her...
