TRIBECA Online Film Festival Coverage 2021
After over a decade of covering films, this will be my first experience with TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL (June 9-20th) Disgraceful on my part I know, seeing as it's only 2 hrs tops from Philly. I just never got it together to either go for the day, or commute a few days, spend on accommodations or impose on an acquaintance. The great thing is this year I don't have to do any of that, God do I love these Virtual Film Festivals, it just feeds the introvert in me! #TribecaAtHome

BlackStar Film Festival always turns out to be one of the highlights of my summer. I may not have fully covered all 10, but I've always attended at least a screening or opening night party. See below for links to T&T past coverage...

The owner of the hotel suggests to Prisca & Guy that their first day's activity be a trip out to a private beach. He intimates, they are the only ones being offered this opportunity, but once in the resort van (featuring M. Night's cameo) they are joined by a rich couple, Charles (Rufus Sewell) and his trophy wife Chrystal (Abbey Lee Lovecraft Country) their 6 year-old daughter Kara and Charles' mother. Once on the beach they find a famous rapper, Mid-Size Sedan [love this moniker]...

I liked that Blackstar Founder/Director Maori Karmael Holmes, Rashid Zakat, Rich Medina, Dr. Yaba Blay and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter did a little Live Facebook show at 9am each day (presented by Color of Change), interviewing a filmmaker or guest with fun segments and reminding the audience of what was in store for the day. …
