90th ANNUAL OSCAR ROUNDUP 2018
by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor Tinsel & Tine Recaps & Archives The 90th Annual Academy Awards THE HOST Jimmy Kimmel handled his monologue with the kid gloves type humor necessary in this very sensitive climate. Pandering to the #metoo #timesup and inclusion movement in a way that wasn’t too cloying. I bet he and the Academy producers were wonderfully surprised the whole Jet Ski bit went over better than they would have imagined – at the start of the show, Kimmel offered up a Jet Ski (worth almost $18,000) and a trip to Lake Havasu in Arizona as a prize for the Oscar winner who gave the shortest acceptance…

Oscars Post 2018: BEST COSTUME DESIGN NOMINATED FILMS 2018
Tinsel & Tine’s Look at 2018 OSCAR NOMINATED MOVIES FOR COSTUME DESIGN By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I wrote this for the LAMB (Large Ass Movie Blogging Association) segment “The LAMB Devours the OSCARS – Costume Design Nominees” When it comes to the artistic elements instrumental in rounding out and truly creating the feel of a movie or film, like production design, cinematography and music, what captures my attention more often than the others is Costume Design. Philly Spotlight Post: MARTHA’S KITCHEN & EVENTS
I feel honored. I was blessed into this business from a vision board I did at my church, (Greater Vision Church, 221 E. Logan Street). I was asked to create a vision board as homework from my pastor Billy Thompson, Jr., I didn’t want to do it because it was “homework”, I didn’t want to do homework with the load of work that I already did each day supervising a home with two mentally challenged individuals, who require so much of my attention. So I put it off, this challenge by my pastor could wait, maybe I'd get to it eventually, or not.
