BlackStar William and Louise Greaves Filmmaker Seminar

@BlackStarFest William and Louise Greaves Filmmaker(Virtual) Seminar March 19-21, 2021 has limited capacity, applications must be submitted by Sun. 1/31 to take part in this three-day gathering for Black, Brown, and Indigenous artists working in cinematic realms.

Participants will explore the technical and creative aspects of media-making, while having honest conversations about the successes and pitfalls of their work.

There will also be opportunities for filmmakers to share and receive feedback on works-in-progress, meet media funders and other gatekeepers, and explore new storytelling models emerging through the use of virtual reality, augmented reality, and transmedia projects. Our environment considers the intersection of cinema and visual arts, and is exclusively designed for people of color to focus and not manage the added burden of representation.
