    February 6, 2016 /

I understand that Natalie Portman started the ball rolling on bringing "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" to the big screen. That she loved Seth Grahame-Smith's book of the same name which parodies the 1813 British novel "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.

    Philly Food Truck: GRUBAHOLICS

    January 26, 2016 /

by Le Anne Lindsay, Editor In The Spotlight: Jamaican Fare Philadelphia Food Truck – Grubaholics I don’t know why it takes me so long to get back to the Philly Food Truck series.  They really are some of my most popular posts! Here’s the first for 2016 featuring GRUBAHOLICS! The “them” I refer to are Thomas Smith…

    In a Marriage: 45 YEARS

    January 21, 2016 /

A Highlight of the British Dramatic Film – 45 Years By Tinsel & Tine Editor, Le Anne Lindsay I wanna change my prediction on my Oscar ballot.  At the end of my 73rd Golden Globes post, I included links to ballots for the upcoming Oscars – one based on Who I Want to Win the Academy Award and one based on Who I Think Will Win.  I chose Brie Larson (Room) for who I’d like to win and Cate Blanchett (Carol) for who I think will win, but I want to change that to Charlotte Rampling for Kate Mercer in 45 YEARS. Not only is her performance in this film…

Philly Dining Spotlight: THE LITTLE LION RESTAURANT

    January 15, 2016 /

Upscale Comfort Food with a Taste of History By Tinsel & Tine Editor Le Anne Lindsay I truly welcomed the quiet week between Christmas & New Years, because starting January 3rd I went from The Barnes Museum Free First Sunday, my first visit after all this time, so I stayed all day. Hosted a giveaway for subscribers to see preview of Jennifer Lopez in her new cop drama “Shades of Blue” on the big screen. Attended Reelblack’s screening of Kerry Washington’s first major film role – Lift, written and directed by DeMane Davis and Khari Streeter, who Skyped in after the screening to talk about developing the film as part…

The 73rd Annual Golden Globes Round Up 2016 / I’m Black & A Film Blogger – White Oscar Boycott Dilemma!

    January 12, 2016 /

Host Ricky Gervais' disdain for all and sundry hit a few gasps, but on the whole, was pretty tame. I have to admit last night, I was unaware of the whole Sean Penn and El Chapo surreal-ality, so that joke went over my head til I watch the Today Show in the morning...
