    January 31, 2010 /

Tinsel & Tine: Because it’s impossible for me to attend has many festivals as would be my wish, I would really love to spread the word to Film Festival Attendees around the world to send post to Tinsel & Tine. We Interrupt Sundance…

    January 28, 2010 /

Between the Articles and Blog sections on the Sundance 2010 website, it really is the next best thing to being there. Great transcripts of the Q&A’s – The Runaways is a must see for me!But unfortunately, Carol hasn’t been able to check in the last few days. Hopefully, we’ll all stay tuned for her wrap up! The interruption comes in the form of a R.I.P. for Author, Historian and Activist, Howard Zinn, a couple of months ago, I posted commentary on the History Channel doc “The People Speak” based on Zinn’s work. I hope in honor of him they’ll broadcast the documentary again. On the flip side of that, my…

    Sundance 2010 Post 1

    January 25, 2010 /

All that encompassess the Sundance Film Festival got underway on Thursday(1/21/10) and Park City Utah greeted artists, film goers, musicians, moguls, press and partiers with a lovely snowfall. Grant it, I’m not there to witness this wonderful, over indulgence of sights and sounds, but next year I will be for sure! For this year, I’m very excited to have a corespondent at the festival who is sending back posts and pics for Tinsel and Tine! Stay tuned for Carol Coombes’, first post of her Sundance screenings and mingling. In the meantime, she has taken these great on the scene pics to share. In the spirit that Tinsel & Tine celebrates…

    67th Annual GOLDEN GLOBES Recap

    January 19, 2010 /

Mo' nique started the evening off right with a very honest and emotional speech. Well deserved, her role in Precious seemed so out of character for her. It's always amazing when a comedian delivers, such a powerful performance. It's just too bad she didn't shave her legs for the red carpet!

    Jeff Bridges in CRAZY HEART

    January 19, 2010 /

By Le Anne Lindsay, Editor I have a friend who’s an aspiring music journalist, similar to Maggie Gylenhaal’s character in Crazy Heart. She likes to review lesser known musicians who come into town and play Philly’s smaller venues. That honky tonk sound with a rootsy rock influence, by musicians with snow on the roof, but plenty of sexy fire still in the belly — John Doe, to name one, is really her thing. So it was great to watch the movie with her and see it through her eyes and better yet, she treated! It would seem the Producers of Crazy Heart banked on the success of last year’s has…
